Coventry City youngster Darragh Leahy played the whole game as the Republic Of Ireland U19's lost 4-0 to Germany in Durres, Albania.
Ireland had already qualified for the Elite Phase of the U19's European Championships with wins over Albania and Gibraltar.
Leahy will now travel back to Cov and should be in Nicky Eaden's squad for the U23's game against Watford on Monday afternoon.
