Former Coventry City Director Leonard Brody has said that his decision to stop using Twitter had nothing to do with either the abuse he was getting.

Speaking to the CT, Mr Brody, who feels that his personal reputation was not harmed by him going on Twitter said:  “No, not at all.

"I don’t think the feedback or abuse from a couple of squeaky wheels  is any different from any other director.

"I don’t think there is a single director on the board who hasn’t taken some sort of heat from the fans.

“My going off Twitter was much more one, technological and two, because of league rules around gambling that were very unclear at the time when we were effectively warned to be careful about our activity until the rules became clearer.

"So I stayed off because it meant I wouldn’t violate any rules.

“I have no problems and now that I am not a director I don’t have to think about those things.
