League position is not a form guide says Adams

Coventry City embark on an eight game run playing sides currently below them in League One, but despite these games appearing to all be winnable, none of the squad or coaching staff are taking anything for granted.

Coventry defender Blair Adams told the Coventry Telegraph that anyone in League One can beat anyone and league positions cannot be taken as a form guide.

“It’s such a tight league you don’t really think about where they are in the table,” he said. “You give every team respect because anything can happen, look at Gillingham beating Wolves the other day.

“A lot of teams haven’t been able to live with us this season and we have earned some brilliant wins, but Bristol City have just come down from the Championship so they’ve got some experience in the side.

“I don’t think it will be 5-4 again, hopefully we’ll keep a clean sheet this time, but I think we will always create a lot of chances. I’m still determined to get a goal myself before the season is over, believe me, I’m trying as hard as I can  and if we concentrate on playing our own game I’m sure we will keep picking up wins, especially when we are back to full strength.”
