Leacock Finds Championship A Challenge

Dean Leacock admits that he finds the pace of Championship football a challenge. The Fulham defender now on loan to City until the end of the season told SkyBlue World:"It’s very quick, even if you’re winning you don’t pass it, you still get forward and try and get another goal. It’s quicker than the Premiership.

"It’s not about holding onto the ball, it’s about trying to score another goal and kill the game off, so it’s very different.

"I’m enjoying playing in front of big crowds. I hate getting injured, it’s the worst thing but it happens in football and you’ve just got to get on with it and come back strong. I tore my hamstring. It just felt a little bit tight, so I went for a scan and they said it was torn.

"I’m happy with my form, when I came down I was a bit low on confidence but as soon as I started to play I’ve been doing all right so my confidence is back."
