Ivor Lawton has said that he is willing to put his body on the line for Coventry City supporters.
Speaking to Matt Joyce, the City U21 skipper, who led the side by example, said: "It was never in doubt that I was going to sign. I had to go over a few things with the manager as I want to be given a chance in my preferred central-midfield role.
"The fans have got time for me because I'm a Coventry boy, I've been to the away days I've been in the stands with the lads. I will spit blood for this football club and the fans want to see someone who shares their passion on the pitch. I'm willing to put my body on the line for them."
