Coventry City U18's battled well but fell to a late goal at home to Crystal Palace.

Brian Borrows side were without the injured Ange Lourougnon and found it hard to create chances in the opening half at the Alan Higgs Centre in front of a very good crowd.

Keiran Fitzharris was lively in midfield for Sky Blues alongside the more experienced and hard working Lee Hildreth whilst City's back four looked very solid.

Keeper Neil Collett also looked in good form and made an excellent save in the 43rd minute to push over a stinging Victor Moses effort.

In a second half that got nasty at times with some very late challenges. Phil Starkey and Dale Jones cautions from referee Mike Bingham.

Reis Ashraf had fired wide when clean through with ten to go.

As the game entered stoppage time, Palace had a goal ruled out. Moses hit the bar but Neil Collett had been impeded before James Dayton tapped in and the Palace forward was cautioned for protesting.

In the 94th minute, Palace did score. Victor Moses raced through, beat the offside trap and rounded Collett and take a win from a game that was always looked likely to be a draw.
