Coventry City Ladies completed their FA WPL Reserve Section Divsion 2 North league campaign with a 3-1 victory at Doncaster Rovers Belles.

Originally, City had been awarded the game when it was abandoned by the referee due to a player breaking her leg, but a successful appeal by Doncaster who were in with a chance of the title, forced the game to be replayed.

However, goals from Sarah Marshall,Katy Box and Mel Byrne gave the Sky Blues a 3-1 win which lifts them into third place in the table.

City Reserves are still waiting to hear from the FA if they will have to play Middlesbrough who refused to send a reserve team side to play at Coventry University on March 13th.

Not playing Lincoln City in a first team fixture did Mark Phillips side no favours as results elsewhere saw third from bottom, Sheffield Wednesday pull three points clear of the Sky Blues with a 3-0 win at Aston Villa.

Bottom side Tranmere Rovers who travel to Coventry next Sunday, moved within two points of the Sky Blues following a 2-2 draw at Stockport County.
