Ladies Make Changes

Sunday's Coventry City Ladies Centre of Excellence AGM saw the Board re-elected again with Steve Ogle taking a break from coaching and stepping up as Vice Chair alongside Tim Kalns (Vice Chair, Ladies). Darren George also steps up as The COE Club Administrator.

Commenting, Chairman David Singleton "I see our role more as a Leadership team, rather than a Board. Our job is to ensure that our players are able to develop their skills as footballers and play at the highest level they can take themselves, with our help. We've done our best to select the best coaches and managers who in turn have selected the best players from the Development Squads, Centre of Excellence and those who applied in the trials. "

Last season was the first time we played in the newly formed COE League and across the Midlands we were praised for our professionalism and good level of football. We want to take that to another level, giving the first team ample opportunity to stabilise and gain promotion to the Northern Premiership. Like CCFC, there is a lot of confidence around and believe that this will take us forward competing as one of the most promising Ladies Football clubs in the country"

Under new First Team Coach Stuart Wilson, the Ladies report back for pre-season training on the 27th June. "We're back in early this season as we want to concentrate on establishing our fitness levels early and getting our routines well and truly in place in readiness for the season. We'll have a young squad this season, but have high expectations as we embark on our own 'think Premiership, play Premiership' strategy!'
News from Coventry City Ladies will appear here throughout the season.
