After the match, both managers spoke to Covsupport:

Coventry manager Mark Phillips said: "I thought it was a good game although, they had an awful lot of possession. I thought we defended stoutly and I'm pround of everyone of them. Their work rate and committment was fantastic. To take them to extra time was no mean feat and our players showed a lot of muscle.

"On the positive side,we have to take that sort of committment into our remaining league games and push ourselves on. I'm pleased for everybody concerned with the club. I'm proud of all the players and all the staff."

Birmingham City Ladies boss Marcus Bignot commented: "I'm disappointed to be honest. We just never turned up today but it's not about us today, it's all about Coventry City".

The QPR defender added: "All credit to Coventry. "I'm hugely disappointed in my team but I don't want to take anything away from Coventry. "If they can repeat that for the rest of the season, then I'm sure they will be ok in the league."
