Ladies Beaten In North East

Coventry City Ladies beaten 4-2 in their WPL Northern Division game at Sunderland. Nigerian international Blessing Igbjoinu netted for the Sky Blues on her debut with Michelle Hickmott adding a second late on.

With Tranmere's game at Stockport postponed,Mark Phillips side remain one place above the relegation zone.

Meanwhile City Ladies Reserves game against Sheffield Wednesday was postponed due to problems at the visitors club. With Coventry University charging City for the pitch, the matter is likely to go to the FA.
