Coventry City Ladies made up for the disappointment of losing to Leicester on Sunday with a 3-0 home win over Leafield Atheltic. Sinead Wade scored twice with the long serving Natasha Lynch also on the scoresheet.

Coventry Sphinx's Youth Team continue to progress in the FA Youth Cup with a 2-0 win at Tamworth in the FA Youth Cup 2nd Qualifying Round. With Sphinx keeper Ashley Hooker outstanding in goal, James Halton put Sphinx ahead in the 55th minute. Twenty minutes later, a goal from Luke Blincow who had only been on the pitch for twenty seconds earned Sphinx a home tie against either Eccleshall or Stratford on October 26th.

Also tonight, a few City supporters travel to Croatia to see England lose 2-0.

Scotland, who had City's Michael McBride as their physio and Gary McAllister as an advisor, lost to Ukraine in Kiev. Former Sky Blue Stephen Pressley was sent off whilst Canley kid Graham Alexander got another cap.

Craig Bellamy scored for Wales in a 3-1 win over Cyprus in Cardiff. Northern Ireland beat Lativa 1-0 whilst Steve Staunton's Republic Of Ireland side drew 1-1 at home to the Czech Republic.
