Labovitch - I'm Not Trying To Divide The Sky Blue Trust

Coventry City independent Non-Executive Director Mark Labovitich has denied trying to split up the Sky Blue Trust.

Labovitch sent an email  to the Sky Blue Trust last week in which he wanted the Trust to  "clean house" and get rid of the extremist elements who show no interest in working to achieve a solution. These include the Trust's former Chairman and a Board Member.

Mr Labovitch told the Coventry Telegraph's Simon Gilbert “I divide people into two categories, people interested in bringing the two parties together to find a solution and then there’s people who just want to deal in abuse,” he said.

“The Trust have some members known to make abusive comments; people who heap abuse on the club’s owners are not people we want to deal with.

“I’m not trying to divide them. There are members of the Sky Blue Trust who are extremely constructive, so I guess we have to pick and choose who we deal with. If (they) want the ear of Joy then they have a lot of house cleaning to do.

“I feel they are unrepresentative of fans. If there are technical questions about the finances why do we have to answer them through the Trust?

“We will not talk to anybody which has been in a conspiracy with the council.

“The Trust refuses to accept the council has had any part in bringing about the situation we are in now.”
