Coventry City striker Kevin Kyle believes he is good enough to play in the Championship and is looking for a club in the second tier in January when his loan at Hartlepool United ends.

Kyle is out of contract in June and is prepared to wait until then to get a move to a Championship club.

Speaking to Northern Echo, Kyle said: "I have my best years to come. "It is all about trying to do well and getting games.

"If I don`t get a Championship team in January then I will wait until the summer, when my contract is up. "I might have to go out on loan again in January.

"If nothing happens come June and July, and Hartlepool are one of the few teams to offer me a contract, then that is something I would not rule out."
