Kyle Seeks To Improve Fitness

Striker Kevin Kyle has admitted that he needs to step his fitness levels.

Signed from Sunderland in a £650,000 plus add ons move last week, the Scot who spent most of last season side-lined told the CET: "Micky Adams wants to get me back to my best and although I played all right on Saturday, I know I can do 100 times better and that's what the manager wants me to do and that's what I want to do.

"I need to get my fitness up to speed and I am looking forward to doing well and going home with a smile on my face.

"I have probably got something to prove because I have come from a team that has been losing a lot and that affects confidence, but I don't think I have got a lot to prove.

"So it is just a matter of getting back to what I was doing in the Championship with Sunderland two years ago, because I was a threat in this division and I got a lot of good reviews from my then manager, Mick McCarthy, and a lot of other managers.

"So if I can get back to that level then there is no reason why I can't help Coventry get out of this division and into the Premier League.
