Knill Happy With A Point

Scunthorpe United boss Alan Knill was happy with his side's point at Coventry City this afternoon.

“I think if you look at the game chronologically a point was perhaps the fair result," said Knill to Iron Player after the game.

"We both had chances and, perhaps, on another day we might have won it, or even lost it.

"A draw was the fair result. "I have to say though that I thought we played pretty well, coming back from a goal down.

"In the first half we went from starting poorly to becoming ever-so-good, and it's just down to belief.

"We have some talented footballers, and if we pass the ball when we have it, and work hard when we don't, then we're going to cause problems.

"I don't know why we started so slowly but if you don't win that first ball when the goalkeeper has struck it 60 yards then you're going to struggle.

"We never came to terms with it for 20 minutes - we never won that first ball.

"You have to keep your shape when you're not in possession and I thought for their goal was such an easy one.

"The good thing was we came to terms with it as the half wore on. We started to enjoy more possession and I felt we were good in possession on the day."
