Kerry May Return

American trialist Kerry Zavagnin gone back to Kansas after picking up a groin strain whiilst on trial at Ryton. Micky Adams said: "Kerry did very well until he got injured. "He has gone back to the States where he has to make a decision about his contract there and we will see what happens. It may be that he is one that we look at in the summer."

The injury meant that the Kansas City midifielder missed out on his country's 2-1 World Cup Qualifying victory over Stern John's Trinidad & Tobago.

Elsewhere, Graham Barrett watched from the bench as the Republic Of Ireland beat Portugal 1-0 and former City player Craig Bellamy scored twice as Wales Beat Hungary 2-0 in Cardiff.
