Keiren Sits It Out But Tuffey Makes His Debut

Coventry City keeper Keiren Westwood was on the bench for the whole of the Republic Of Ireland friendly against Poland at Croke Park.




Ireland, without Robbie Keane, lost 3-2 to a 3rd minute Mariusz Lewandowski goal and one two minutes into the second half from substitute Guerreiro Roger. Stephen Hunt scored from a penalty in the 87th minute and two minutes later Robert Lewandowski added a third. Keith Andrews scored again for Ireland but they went down to defeat

Former Coventry City keeper Jonny Tuffey made his Northern Ireland debut when he came on for Maik Taylor at Windsor Park against Hungary at half-time. Unfortunately, Tuffey, who came through City's Academy and Reserve team ranks and made a couple of friendly appearances for City's first team before being released by Micky Adams, conceded twice in a 2-0 defeat.

Martin Fulop was on the bench for Hungary.

Former City striker Craig Bellamy scored for Wales in the 77th minute of a 1-0 win in Denmark.

Former Sky Blue Gary Caldwell is playing for Scotland who lost 1-0 at Hampden Park to Argentina. Caldwell was booked just before the break for a tackle from behind.
