The keeper, who has been linked with a couple of Premiership clubs, replaces Joe Murphy in the Ireland squad to face Georgia in a World Cup Qualifying Game on February 11th at Croke Park in Dublin.
Former Sky Blues Dean Kiely and Robbie Keane are also in the squad.
