Coventry City duo Keiren Westwood and Leon Best have been called up for the Republic Of Ireland.

The pair are in Giovanni Trapattoni's squad to play Cyprus in a World Cup Qualifier and South Africa

Ireland will play Cyprus in a fortnight's time in Nicosia (kick off 7.30pm) and then will play South Africa in a friendly at Thomond Park in Limerick on September 8th.

Westwood played in Ireland's last friendly against Australia but Leon Best missed the game with a shin injury sustained during City's opening game of the season against Ipswich Town.

Former Coventry City striker Robbie Keane who scored the goal which beat Cyprus at Croke Park last year is also included in the squad.
