Keane Released From Ireland Friendly

Former Coventry City striker Robbie Keane has been released from international duty.

Keane now on loan at West Ham United from Tottenham, scored for the Republic Of Ireland in their 2-1 win against Macedonia in Dublin last night but has been allowed to sit out Tuesday's home friendly with Uruguay.

Keane along with the injured Kevin Doyle plus Kevin Kilbane, Richard Dunne and Damien Duff have returned to their clubs by manager Giovanni Trappatoni.

Coventry City keeper Keiren Westwood is expected to again start in goal on Tuesday night.
