Former Coventry City striker Robbie Keane could be replaced at Tottenham Hotspur by David Beckham.

Harry Redknapp has said that Keane in his second spell at White Hart Lane can leave if any club offers him a permanent deal whilst Spurs are now favourites to take LA Galaxary's David Beckham on a three month loan so that the England international can get fit before the MLS season starts.

Beckham, who has family roots not too far from White Hart Lane, is being reported as having agreed in principle to come to Tottenham whilst Newcastle, Birmingham, Everton and West Ham have all been linked with a move for Keane (Pictured below).

Harry Redknapp has been quoted by a number of websites as saying: "Robbie's name keeps coming up, but he's not for loan. "If he's going to go, he wants to leave permanently, and it will have to be a good club for him because he's a top player still.

"He won't just go anywhere, because he may as well stay here and fight for his place. I still think he's got fantastic ability and enthusiasm for the game."
