Birmingham are reported to have agreed a £6m fee for the Republic Of Ireland international, who was sold by City to Inter Milan in order to appease a then Board member.
The fee is believed to be £4m up front and a further £2m in add-ons. Personal terms are yet to be agreed and it is not known if Keane will take a drop in wages from his reported £65k a week.
