Kean For No Repeat

Coventry City Assistant Manager Steve Kean is preparing the City players to ensure that there is no repeat of the 4-1 defeat last season when City travel to the Valley On Tuesday night.

"The last time we went down there, it was a disappointing day all round it got to the stage where we were thinking the game was out of reach and you start to think about other results," said Kean to the CT, speaking about the game which saw City escape relegation purely on events at Stoke City.

"Without doubt, it was one of the worst games I have ever been involved with. We set out a game plan and as the goals went in things were slipping away.

"It was a horrible feeling and one that we don't want to have that at the Valley again that's for sure.

"This time, we have to make sure we are on the front foot taking the game to them and grabbing it by the scruff of the neck.

"We have been working hard and long on the training ground on what we see as Charlton's weaknesses and hopefully, we can do well down there."
