KCIC - Beer At Brentford

Last updated : 23 March 2014 By KCIC

Keep Cov In Cov had a very pleasant time in the sunshine outside The Griffin at Brentford yesterday but reports are appearing that Tim Fisher had a drink thrown at him, or glasses and chairs plus Coventry City fans fighting among themselves, depending on which story you read

  • KCIC has always said that violence and disruption risks those who object to the move to Northampton being dismissed as thugs, hooligans, etc
  • The KCIC War of Attrition, 100% peaceful long-term approach is really hard to follow because if you care about CCFC then you’ve got to be angry about what’s happening to us
  • But what KCIC wants to see is Fisher and all those responsible for the mess we’re in not just with a damp patch on their coat but sweating and squirming under a grilling by MPs in a public, televised Independent Inquiry
  • We achieve that by the hard slog of getting signatures on the ePetition which leads to...

A massive thank you to the Chelsea Supporters Trust (CST)

  • CST provided awesome support for the kcic campaign this last week
  • Before they played Arsenal yesterday they jointly handed out ePetition leaflets - check out the story at http://tinyurl.com/osngq7x
  • Getting support from fans at the club at the top of the football pyramid, and before such a vital game, was brilliant
  • Not a single negative comment from fans going into the game but a huge amount of sympathy for our plight and encouragement to keep on fighting
  • A big thank you also to the mainly London/South East based City fans who dragged themselves out of bed early on a Saturday morning to help out on their way to Brentford

There’s a great video clip at http://tinyurl.com/o4n5eh5

So…

  • There are fans at other clubs supporting us
  • City fans based in other parts of the country are doing their bit
  • People in Coventry are putting up ePetition flyers in car/house windows, asking local shops to display them and have some on their counter, even leafleting their street and neighbouring ones
  • Let’s follow the example of other City fans and keep pushing the ePetition

And amidst all the off the field stuff let’s not forget we’ve got two big games this week - PUSB!
