Kasper Takes Monthly Award

Former Coventry City loanee Kasper Schmeichel has been named Football League Player Of The Month for League Two.

The keeper, who played for City on loan in the 2007/2008 season, is on a five year deal at Notts County,  Schmeichel kept two clean sheets as Notts County were unbeaten in their six matches in October.

Nuneaton born Peter Whittingham took the Championship award beating Leicester's Chris Weale, QPR's Adel Taarabt and Swansea's Alan Tate.

Norwich City's Grant Holt took the League One award beatng Millwall's Neil Harris, Southampton's Dean Hammond and Southend's Lee Barnard.
