Former Coventry City forward Lukas Jutkiewicz has said that he is glad to be playing again.
Jutkiewicz returned from surgery in the summer on a cartilige operation in an U21 friendly against Hull and scored the winner.
Speaking to the Middlesbrough FC website, Jutkiewicz said: "It was brilliant to be back. "It was my first match since the Watford game at the end of last season, so it's been about four months since I played a competitive game.
"Even though it was an Under-21 friendly, it was good to be able to play and score a goal.
"I've been itching to get back and I really enjoyed it.
"That's what you focus on when you first get injured, you look to the time when you'll be able to play again and I was really excited to be back out there."
