Judicial Review A Damp Squib - KCIC

A huge thank you to Sky Blue Legend Dietmar Bruck

  • Keep Cov In Cov and the Sky Blue Trust this week had the absolute privilege of meeting a true Sky Blue Legend – Dietmar Bruck
  • Dietmar was a key part of the 1960s Sky Blues revolution, playing in the team that got us promoted to top flight football for the first time ever and started over 30 years in the top tier of English football
  • For football trivia lovers, he was also Coventry City’s first ever substitute!
  • Dietmar was inspirational on the pitch and remains a truly inspirational man
  • His willingness to take time to publicly support the  www.FixFootball.co.uk petition for an Independent Inquiry into CCFC is awesome!

Judicial Review – what a damp squib!

  • Tim Fisher said before the JR that it would prove “there was a conspiracy to wrest control of the football club from sisu by the council”
  • Mark Labovitch said with the JR “the truth will be known"
  • But 3 days at the High Court saw no smoking gun, fireworks or bombshells
  • No evidence of a conspiracy
  • No evidence the CCFC mess is all the fault of the Council
  • Just a deadly dull argument about European State Aid laws and due process
  • Then the minute the hearing was over Labovitch said it was “just a side show” - so what on earth was that all about?!

(The Coventry Telegraph has provided excellent coverage of the JR e.g. www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/coventry-city-director-sisu-v-7260207)
