Jodi Jones has said that he is so happy to be back playing football.
The midfielder had been out for ten months with an ACL injury sustained during Coventry City's 1-1 draw at Stevenage last season.
Now, after playing the whole game for City U23's at Ipswich Town last Monday, Jones was given a standing ovation by the City support as he came on as a 75th minute substitute for the Sky Blues in their 1-1 draw against Sunderland yesterday.
Jones wrote on Facebook: "Wow I missed you football!
"Thank you all for your incredible support through this long & difficult journey.
"I'm honestly so happy to be back where I belong! Would also like to thank everyone inside the Ricoh Arena for the amazing reception when I stepped onto the pitch it was overwhelming!
"Looking forward to the rest of the season now! "
