Jodi Jones has said that his confidence is sky high following his goal for Coventry City in the 3-1 EFL Trophy win against Northampton Town last night.
Jones told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: “My confidence has been high since I first came here but it’s even higher now that I have got my first goal and hopefully I can go on to score more.
“We scored three quality goals on the night; Dan Agyei scored a great solo goal and then mine, of course, and Ruben Lameiras hit a great finish too.
“I think we played well and are really gelling now. I think in most games we’ve played well but just been unlucky.
“We have found it hard to get wins recently but we’re pleased with back-to-back victories. We have played as well as we have been but just took our chances against Northampton.
“It’s a shame we haven’t got a game on Saturday because we’d like to keep it going but we have to wait for ten days to face Charlton away.
“But maybe the break will do us good because although we haven’t been getting results until the last few days we have been working really hard.”
