The Manchester United striker loaned to Coventry City and Crewe is wanted by Tykes boss Andy Ritchie who told Barnsley's official website: "We will be sitting down this week for talks with Eddie's agent.
"They are only going to be preliminary discussions so we will have to wait and see what happens," he told the club's official website.
