Joe Murphy Loaned To Chesterfield

Former Coventry City keeper Joe Murphy has joined Chesterfield FC on an emergency loan.

Paul Cook's first choice keeper Tommy Lee picked up an ankle injury in the 1-0 defeat to Preston North End on Thursday night and with keepers h Aaron Chapman and Myles Wright also injured, Chesterfield have been given special dispensation by the Football League to take Murphy on loan from Huddersfield Town.

Paul Cook told his club's website:  "When we were looking for a keeper at short notice, Joe was an obvious choice.

"He has vast experience with over 500 senior appearances under his belt."
