Jodi Jones Backs Mark Venus For City Job

Jodi Jones has thrown his weight behind Mark Venus becoming the next Coventry City manager.

Jones, who netted for City in the 3-1 win over Northampton Town on Tuesday night in an EFL Trophy game told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire about whether he would like to permanently play for Mark Venus: “Yes, definitely. I like him and he likes me as a player.

“He allows me to play in the position I played against Northampton where I can get on the ball and he likes what I do, so I hope he gets the job.

“Everyone likes what we’re doing with him.

“We are doing interesting things, very similar things in training and the tactics and formation are good and we’re winning games. I didn’t really expect him to take over but he has done well so far.”
