The Sky Blues forward returned to action in the game against Rotherham, his first appearance since he played against Crystal Palace on 24th August.
But he missed City's next match against Crystal Palace in the Worthington Cup with a sore foot and the club have now decided on surgery to try to sort the injury problem out once and for all.
