PRESENTATION OF THE COVENTRY CITY LONDON SUPPORTERS CLUB PLAYER OF THE SEASON AWARD

SATURDAY 25th APRIL 2015

AT THE RICOH ARENA

This is the 38th consecutive year that the presentation for the Coventry City London Supporters Club Player of the Season award has been made. It is, in our opinion, a truly unique award, as it captures votes from members for every match that they attend throughout the season; each member votes for their top three players per game.

Enormous thanks go again to our own Man of the Midlands, Barry Chattaway, for his diligent chasing and collating of the votes.

 This year’s winner has:

  • Received votes from CCLSC members in 40 out of 49 of the games played this season.
  • Achieved 7 consecutive Man of the Match awards which included every league game in October; this beat the previous best of five.
  • Achieved the highest number of votes awarded in any single match, when he received 95 votes at the Orient away game last November.

A truly remarkable achievement which reflects an amazing performance on the pitch.  This and his passion for football and the great football club that we support set him apart and make him Our Man of the Season.

In third place is Reda Johnson.

In second place is John Fleck

This year’s winner becomes the first Scottish player to win the trophy since Gary McAllister in 2000.  Previous winners include other north of the border greats Tommy Hutchison, Gary Gillespie, David Speedie and Kevin Gallagher.

The Coventry City London Supporters Club Player of the Season award goes to …………. Jim O’Brien.
