Coventry City will not be offering Jim O'Brien a new contract.
The midfielder was popular with the City support, scoring eight goals and making seventy appearances after joining from Barnsley in 2014.
However, he was not popular with City boss Tony Mowbray, who loaned him out to Scunthorpe United on February 15th for the rest of the season and made it clear in the media that he was not the sort of player he wanted.
