Jermaine Up For Facing The Sky Blues

Shrewsbury Town's Jermaine Grandison has said that he is looking forward to facing his former Coventry City team tonight.

Grandison came through City's Academy and Reserve team to play for the first team during a ten year spell at the Sky Blues before he was released by Chris Coleman.

Speaking to Shrewsbury Town's official website, Grandison said: "It's going to be really good to play against Coventry and see a few old faces. "I'm just hoping I can do well.

"I was there for 10 years and came up through the youth team so hopefully I can just show them what they're missing really.

"I played a few games for the first team but it didn't work out in the end and I moved on.

"Coming here has kickstarted my career and I'm glad I made the move."

Jermaine now wants to help Town bounce back from Saturday's disappointing home defeat against Scunthorpe, not that he's expecting anything other than a tough game against Coventry even allowing for his former club's slow start to the campaign.

"Coventry are still a big club," he added. "They've not had the best of starts to the season so hopefully we can take advantage of that and go and get the three points."
