As expected, Coventry City have completed the signing of Steve Jennings.
The midfielder, who impressed in the pre-season games at Port Vale and Bristol Rovers, has signed a two year deal.
Speaking to Lee Corden, City boss Andy Thorn said: “We are really pleased to get Steve on board. We knew he was a good player before he came here and he’s proved that while he has been with us.
“He had a little injury which meant it has taken a bit longer to get it done but we are all delighted that we have been able to complete this deal before the league season starts on Saturday.
“It gives us another option in midfield and it means we’ve got some really good competition in that area of the pitch.”
Jennings goes into Saturday's squad to face Yeovil Town at Huish Park.
