The 25 year old was a hot-shot in his youth which saw him move from Everton to Arsenal for £8m. However,he could not forced his way into the Gunners team on a regular basis and had spells at Everton and Glasgow Rangers.
Jeffers is currently at Charlton and appeared for the side now managed by Iain Dowie in a reserve game against City last season.
