Coventry City striker Simeon Jackson was a 55th minute substitute for Canada in their 3-1 win in a friendly against Jamaica.

At BMO Field in Toronto, with Jackson starting on the bench for the Canadians, Kemar Lawrence gave the visitors a 31st minute lead but three minutes later, Canada were level when David Edgar volleyed home from a corner.

Former City loanee Jamar Loza came on at half-time for Jamaica and should have scored with a 53rd minute header which went wide.

Two minutes later, Jackson, who was born in Jamaica, came on replacing Nakajima-Farran.

In the 66th minute, Jackson was fouled and Marcel De Jong curled in a free kick to give Canada a 2-1 lead.

Loza was a threat all half, having a number of chances including a shot in the 70th minute saved by the Canadian keeper's legs.

In the 73rd minute, Jackson got in a shot from the right. Blake, in the Jamaica goal, could not hold it and Ricketts tapped in for Canada's third and Canada' first win in sixteen matches.

Canada's next international is away to Panama on November 18th.
