Coventry City defender Blair Adams admits that whilst he may not have had a full ninety minutes during his comeback from injury, he does have plenty of energy in his legs.

Adams is back in the City team tomorrow at Notts County after being out for two months with a knee injury and speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Adams, who will replace Jordan Stewart who has a groin injury, said: “I’ve not played a full 90 minutes yet but I’ve still got plenty of energy in my legs so I’m sure I’ll be able to get through the game and perform like I was before I got injured.

“It’s disappointing being off for so long because you lose your fitness pretty quickly but I’ve been doing a lot of work behind the scenes and I’m sure I’ll be good to go.

“When you come back from injury the first thing the physios and coaches look for is whether you’re going in 100 per cent or holding back a little bit but I’ve had a few clashes in training and the games I’ve played and had no problems.

"I’m sure I can put in a good performance and hopefully make sure I’m the gaffer’s plans for next season.”
