Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he has been offered a striker. Two of his targets have gone into the fold of Premiership Clubs whilst another refused to join.
Speaking to Sky Blue Blue Player at the club's weekly press conference, Thorn said: "I had two strikers due to come in but then that didn't happen for various reasons so that hasn't helped us really but this is football.
"I got offered a striker yesterday but he has only played one game this season as he has been injured and I don't really fancy getting other team's players fit for them.
"It doesn't benefit us as it might not work out and it wouldn't improve us. I wouldn't bring anyone to the club if I felt like it wouldn't add something to the squad.
"But like I say, those two strikers couldn't come in for various reasons so I have just kept my head down to try and find someone else and bring them in.
"Hopefully it will happen as it would definitely add something to the squad."
