Coventry City midfielder Steve Jennings has joked that Hartlepool is a windy and hostile place.

City travel to the town, north of Middlesbrough, for their visit since a Fourth Division game on Monday April 27th 1959 and Steve Jennings, a player, versed in the colder climates after three seasons at Motherwell, joked to the CT's Andy Turner: “It’s a drop in the ocean

“When I was in Scotland you could be trapped in your house for three days living on cereal!

“Hartlepool’s not the best of places to go to – it’s always really windy up there – and it’s bit hostile.

“The Ricoh’s a really big stadium and even if you’ve got 10,000 people in there the atmosphere can drop, but at grounds like that the fans are close to the pitch and you can hear what they’re saying.

“But, as the gaffer keeps saying, we’ve got to concentrate on our own game and if we do that we can certainly get the three points.”
