It's Not Good Enough - Murphy

Coventry City goalkeeper Joe Murphy has slated the team performances against Crewe and Burton Albion.

Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, Murphy, who was the penalties hero on Tuesday night, said: “It was a disappointing performance against Burton and we had a chat about that after the Crewe game as well because we know it’s not good enough.

“Burton came here and as Lee Carsley said, one team wanted to win it and another looked like a team who just wanted to stay in it so it’s not good enough.

“The expectation from this club and ourselves as players is to bounce straight back up so we have got to get our performances a lot higher and pick the tempo up because, especially in the league, we haven’t really produced.

“Birmingham was a great game for us but it was a bonus game. We were not expected to win but it was a good crowd and we produced, but we need to do that week in and week out in the league.”
