It's Been A Rubbish Week - Boothroyd

Coventry City Manager Aidy Boothroyd admitted after the Sky Blues third consecutive defeat on Saturday at Crystal Palace that although it had been a bad week, there will be no sulking.

"It's been a rubbish week with three defeats, but that's in the past now - we have to learn from this and move on," said Boothroyd to the CT.

"I can remember coming here in 2005 when we got beat 3-1 on a horrible Friday night but that was a valuable lesson because we beat them in the play-offs and went on to win promotion.

"I've told the players that we mustn't feel sorry for ourselves, mustn't sulk.

"It's very annoying but we've got to get on with it, hang on to the coat-tails of the leaders and improve where we can."

That improvement must be those in goalscoring positions putting away their chances and Boothroyd added: "In the first 25 minutes we had enough chances to win six games. "It's only the second time this season we haven't scored in a league game and I have to say it's beyond me how we didn't.
