It's A Pitch At The End Of The Day - Adams

Coventry City defender Blair Adams has said that Sixfields Stadium is just a football pitch the same as any other and that the City players are trying to pick up points wherever they play.

Much as been said about City's move to Northampton at the insistence of Tim Fisher, whose failure to walk away from the Ricoh rent negotiations when it was clear he was not going to make any progress, turned a molehill into a mountain of Everest proportions, but for the time being, the Sixfields Stadium, which clearly lacks the comfort and facilities of the Ricoh Arena, is where City are currently playing their matches until all sides can bring about a return to Coventry.

Speaking about playing at Northampton, where City have won two and drawn one of their three matches so far this season, Blair Adams told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner:  “Obviously the Ricoh is a huge stadium and we all want to play there but this is where we are.

"It’s a football pitch at the end of the day and we are doing all we can for the shirt and trying to pick up the points whenever we play.”
