Coventry City Chairman Ray Ranson has promised Coventry City supporters that the new season will be better than last season.

City retained their Championship status only thanks to some heroics from Stoke keeper Carlo Nash and the right hand post of his goal and Ranson knows that the Sky Blues must push on this season.

"We will try to get the best players we can and will have a better season this season than we did the one before but that won't be hard.

With regard to transfer activity, Ranson said: "The first couple of months are always about who and what's available and we are no diffferent but there is certainly nothing for fans to worry about but we are not going to overpay."
