Investigation In To Chants Aimed At Bellamy

Let's Kick Racism Out and the FA have launched inquiries into allegations that former Coventry City forward Craig Bellamy suffered chants of "sheepshagger" during a game.

The Daily Mail claim that Bellamy now at Liverpool, 'was allegedly the victim of 'inhuman, degrading and vile' taunts by rival fans and targeted by fans of Brighton when Liverpool played them in the Carling Cup last month.'

The paper also has a quote from Christian Roberts, an anti-racism campaigner and former Cardiff City striker. who said: 'Anti-Welsh chants were something all Welsh players had to deal with during their careers.

'It is nothing more than pathetic racism and the authorities should impose tough punishments for any fan found guilty.'
