Information For City Supporters Travelling To Swindon

West Midlands Police have issued the following information for Coventry City supporters travelling to Swindon Town tomorrow.

 

Coventry supporters attending Swindon Town for the League One fixture 21/12/13 – 3pm KO

 

 The County Ground is a stadium located near the town centre of Swindon, England, and has been home to Swindon Town Football Club since 1896. The current capacity of 14,700, all-seated, has been at that level since the mid-1990s.

 

 Post code – SN1 2ED

 

 This is an ‘ALL TICKET’ fixture, you cannot purchase tickets on the day..!!!

 

 Coventry have sold 1150 tickets as of 20/12/13

 If you are organising a coach or mini bus please inform myself immediately, there are specific requirements on parking.

 

 All coaches, mini buses and private vehicle should look to park at the following location

 • St Joseph’s Catholic College, Ocotal Way, Swindon, Wiltshire SN3 3LR

 From this location it is a short walk towards the ground area. Both stewards and officers will be in the area for your assistance.

 

 The ground is due to open at 13:45 hours, Coventry supporters can purchase alcohol and food from within the stadium complex.

 

 Supporters attending Swindon via the rail network will use the Swindon main station, it is a 20 minute walk towards the ground from this location.

 

 Coventry supporters are recommended to use the following public houses in Swindon.

 • The Great Western Hotel, this pub is located opposite the train station – 73 Station Road, Swindon SN1 1DH

 • The Merlin Pub, Drove Road, Swindon SN1 3AF
