Whilst gambling may have affected the lifes of many players including former Coventry City striker Kevin Kyle, who admitted that he had a problem since he was thirteen, City boss Chris Coleman has said to the CT that he has never fancied gambling.

"It's been a big problem for some players who have had good careers, earned big wages and come out of the game with nothing.

"I'm lucky because my wife spends all my money on our four children - I'm perhaps allowed a glass of red wine down my local but I don't get enough pocket money to go gambling!

"To be serious, I can't say it's ever tickled my fancy but I have heard some horrific stories of Premier League boys getting through big money and that's very sad."
