I'm Loyal Says Adams

Micky Adams has said that he does not think it is right to walk out on Coventry City . The City boss who was on a replacement list for Bryan Robson at West Brom told the CET: "The Chairman rang me to tell me that the club had turned down a request from West Brom and I am happy to accept that.

"West Bromwich Albion are a fantastic football club and someone is going to get really lucky to get the job bearing in mind the squad they have, the fact that they are in the top ten and they still have parachute payments from the Premiership.

"But I don't feel that it would be right to walk out of this football club at the moment," said the City boss who has taken City for 79 games since his arrival and has also been linked with the managers job at Leeds United.

"I've been here for eighteen months and I'm trying to drive the club forward - maybe not as quick as some supporters would like, but I will continue to do the job to the best of my ability.

"I've also sold the dream of Coventry City to ten new players in the summer so it certainly would not feel right. I've no thoughts of spitting my dummy out and asking to speak to West Brom.

"I am a loyal person. Geoffrey Robinson defended me last year when I was under pressure and some people were calling for me to go.

"I hope that not demanding to speak to West Brom shows some loyalty on my part towards Geoffrey and the supporters."
